Hungary will block a package of financial aid to Ukraine worth two million euros, writes “TASS”. Hungary’s condition is to receive guarantees that Hungarian companies will not be included in the Ukrainian blacklist.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijártó states that Budapest’s position will remain unchanged until it receives guarantees from the Ukrainian side that it will stop persecuting Hungarian companies. The Hungarian government has previously stated on several occasions that it will not agree to use the next request of 500 million euros from the European Peace Fund to provide military aid to Ukraine.
The largest Hungarian bank, which operates on the Russian market, ended up on the Ukrainian blacklist. Then, at the insistence of Hungary, it was removed from that list, but there is a fear that something like that will happen again.
