A Ukrainian celebrated his birthday in Slavonski Brod, then was killed

Yesterday in Croatia, in Slavonski Brod, a 47-year-old Ukrainian was killed. One person was detained, and in the meantime three more. All are Ukrainian citizens.

Everything happened in the apartment, neighbors and workers from nearby buildings realized that something was happening only when they saw the police and the ambulance.

We are talking about construction workers who arrived in Croatia at the beginning of the year, and were previously in Poland.

The event shook the Ukrainian community in Croatia.

– It’s a bit shocking, workers, they drank a little, supposedly celebrated the birthday of that deceasedand I don’t know what happened next – said Nikola Zastrizhny, representative of the Ukrainian national minority in Brod-Posavina County.

The celebration ended tragically

The mayor says that Slavonski Brod is a safe city despite to a murder in the middle of the city in the middle of the day.

The police are investigating what exactly happened in these four walls and how the 47-year-old man was killed, and the Croatian State Prosecutor’s Office ordered an autopsy on the body.
