Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski said in his address to the parliament that a possible Russian attack on NATO would end in Russia’s defeat, as well as that the Alliance must increase investment in its defense.

Sikorsky outlined the priorities of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government, which is seeking to show leadership in Europe amid growing fears that Russian aggression will not stop in Ukraine.

Sikorski stated that the development and security of Poland should be based on transatlantic cooperation and European integration, and he also emphasized the importance of friendship with Germany.

He accused the previous government of the Law and Justice party, which led Poland from 2015 to 2023, of choosing confrontation with the EU.

Sikorski’s address is aimed at both the world and the domestic public, Poland, a member of NATO and the European Union, is located on the eastern wing of both organizations and borders Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. It is also a key hub for Western weapons sent to Ukraine.
