“Russia produces more weapons than it needs, the reason is disturbing”

According to reports, the German minister said this during an interview with the ARD TV channel in response to a question about whether he shares the fear of the Baltic countries that Russia will be able to attack NATO in a few years.

Pistorius first stated that he does not have a “crystal ball” through which he sees the future.

– What military experts and weapons experts claim is that Russia is expanding its own production of weapons and military equipment. Most of what is produced is not intended to be sent to the front, but to fill warehouses – he pointed out.

In his opinion, in the event of an escalation of the conflict, the whole of NATO would be drawn in.

– In such a case, we should be able to defend ourselves and fight the war that will be imposed on us. That is why we are now making great efforts to adequately equip the armed forces in Europe, in the Alliance – he added.
