Mattoni 1873, the largest producer of mineral water and non-alcoholic beverages in Central Europe, took over from PepsiCo a minority stake of 46.43 percent in “Knjaz Miloš” from Arandjelovac and became the sole owner of the leading producer of mineral water and energy drinks on the Serbian market. The value of the transaction is almost EUR 90 million, announced the company “Knjaz Miloš”.

“With the strength of the Mattoni Group, with full confidence in it and the continuity of our good results, we continue to develop ‘Knjaz Miloš’ into one of the leading producers of non-alcoholic beverages in the Western Balkans,” said Marko Stanković, general manager of “Knjaz Miloš”.

The owner and president of the Mattoni 1873 group, Alessandro Pasquale, said that by further investing in “Knjaz Miloš”, he will build a sustainable future for the company, through investments in quality products, innovations and the creation of new opportunities for growth for the company and people.

Mattoni 1873 operates in eight countries, with 3,400 employees, 11 production plants and 39 brands. The company was founded in 1873 by Heinrich Mattoni from Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic, and in the 1990s it became the property of the Italian Pasquale family.

In 2023, in all markets where it operates, that European group sold almost two billion bottles, and in the Czech Republic, Austria, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is the exclusive producer and distributor of PepsiCo brands of soft drinks.
