When this young woman started drinking coffee, she noticed that it had a strange taste, and when she looked more closely at the glass, she noticed a swarm of insects crawling in it, according to the Spanish website Ultima Hora, as reported by the “Daily Mail”.

This 21-year-old experienced an anaphylactic shock, her face began to swell, and her throat began to close, as a result of which she could not breathe. She was rushed to the hospital where she spent 36 hours in intensive care, before being released for home treatment.

The family sued the airport

The emergency medical service at the airport gave her adrenaline and other drugs before she was rushed to a local clinic in Palma de Mallorca.

Her family filed a report against the airport to the police, “Ultima Hora” reports.

They claim that the presence of insects in a coffee cup is a possible crime against public health, the portal adds.

The family also added that the airport staff had apparently poorly maintained the machine, which has been out of service since the accident.
