In the Polish Parliament, Sikorski, presenting the new direction of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government, stated that she plans to return to the group of European countries that “determine the agenda of the European Union”, reports the Associated Press. He said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is waging a “hybrid war against Poland” and that Russia falsely accuses Poland of wanting to annex parts of western Ukraine near the city of Lviv, which once belonged to Poland. The minister said yes Poland’s development and security should be based on cooperation with NATO and EU countries, especially with Germany.

Poland’s conflicts with Germany during the previous government, as Sikorski said, will not be the policy of the Tusk government.
– Different opinions do not mean that we are doomed to eternal conflict. Germany is our democratic neighbor, our biggest trading partner, an important European actor and a key ally in NATO. Warsaw and Berlin need each other – Sikorsky pointed out.
Before the address, the ministry announced that Sikorski’s vision for the EU is close to the vision of French President Emmanuel Macron, who believes that it should be more assertive on the international stage.
