He said this in an interview with Sky TV on Thursday night.

The journalist asked how credible is the article in the Financial Times asking Greece to send S-300 or Patriot to Ukraine.

Greece will not send S-300 or Patriot to Ukraine, Mitsotakis said.

– We were asked and we explained why we cannot do that – said the Prime Minister.

According to him, Greece has supported Ukraine in various ways, providing “defense material”.

– But we have said from the very beginning that we cannot provide weapons systems that are key to our ability to deter. We have excess materials with which we can support Ukraine, we did that and I believe that this is the right choice, to the extent that we can find such materials, we will continue to do so – he said.

– But the air defense systems you mentioned are critical systems for the protection of Greek airspace and will not be provided to Ukraine – said the prime minister.
