Emma Shepherd, 42, from Blackpool, England, divorced her husband after 18 years of marriage and admitted it made her feel ‘worthless’ and that her husband’s busy life made her unhappy.

After the divorce, an incredible transformation followed, which she attributes precisely to the fact that she left the father of her children and joined Tinder. She gave up fast food and started making healthy meals more often. She also started paying more attention to her appearance and going out, which eventually led to her opening a profile on Tinder, the ‘dating’ app.

The attention she received there is very pleasing to her, and she also revealed that a man called her who claims he was in the reality show ‘Love Island’.

– I am very happy that I turned my life around. I feel great and I think all beauty comes from that feeling. I feel like I’m in the clouds. Before, I just worked hard and took care of everyone else. But after the divorce, I realized that it was my turn. I looked old, empty and exhausted, but now I’m living my best life. I’m happy and I look completely different – Emma is honest.

She married her ex-husband in 2000 when she was 22 years old.

– I got married for life. My life consisted of him, our girls and work. I felt like my life was right, she said, but the relationship started to falter a few years ago, and her husband eventually moved out in January 2021. They finalized their divorce in October of the same year.

– I felt really bad after he left, it really broke me. I felt worthless, I had panic attacks. I had no confidence in myself and isolated myself from everyone. I just stayed, I worked to pay the bills and that’s how I lived day by day – she said.

– One day I woke up and thought that I come from a family of strong women, I am also a free woman and I can make something out of my life. I realized that I can do much more. I felt like some force was pulling me and someone was watching over me – she recalled and added that after listening to Katy Perry’s song “Roar” she decided to start running.

First, she decided to change her wardrobe, replacing her usual pants with brightly colored skirts, heels and coats. She started wearing red lipstick for the first time, and she reduced her bad habit of smoking 20 cigarettes a day to just four.

Emma, ​​who normally doesn’t drink, also found a side job at a cocktail bar where she worked two nights a week and went to the gym five times a week. She changed her eating habits by replacing bacon sandwiches, eggs and chips with chicken pasta and homemade bolognese.

– Everything about me is completely different now. People say I look amazing compared to before, and I think it’s because I’m so happy inside. The strangest thing to me is that I really believed that I was happy in my marriage. Now I understand that I was emotionally unwell because I was constantly worrying about everyone around me. Now I just smile all the time. And this is just the beginning – happily concludes Emma, ​​who still doesn’t have a new partner, but is looking for love on Tinder.

– It was funny that the guy who was on ‘Love Island’ called me. At first I didn’t recognize him, but I thought – this is what my type of man looks like. I realized this when we were chatting on Snapchat and I saw his videos. He was texting me saying I’m beautiful and that I don’t look like I’m 42. It flattered me, but it also shocked me and I found it quite funny – said Emma.
