The gathering called “Serbia of Hope” will be held tonight on the plateau in front of the National Assembly, starting at 7 p.m. The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, invited all citizens of Serbia to, as he stated, a meeting for the future that will show the country’s unity in difficult times.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that at today’s “Serbia of Hope” gathering, he will offer new solutions and dialogue with those who think differently. He pointed out that he will speak at the meeting as the President of the Republic and not as the leader of the party.

– And that’s the only thing I want to talk about with the people, with the citizens, I won’t make a party speech, I won’t even mention political opponents. I think I will turn to Serbia, with a long-term plan. I will address them as the president of all citizens and show how and in what way I think we can get out of all this, said Vučić.

He added that it will be a meeting for a more decent Serbia, even those who vote for the opposition, but see things differently.

The president said that the meeting that is being organized today is not a SNS meeting, nor a counter-meeting, because it is the only one scheduled for that day.

Yesterday, the President received Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija who came to Belgrade on foot to attend today’s rally.

On May 17, a group of Serbs from Leposavic, North Mitrovica and Kosovska Pomoravlja dressed in t-shirts that read “For Serbia, for Vučić, Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija” set off on foot towards Belgrade to attend the “Serbia of Hope” rally and travel 300 kilometers.

In addition to citizens from all over Serbia, Serbs from Republika Srpska and Macedonia are also expected to come to Belgrade.
