She opened the largest regional health conference prof. Dr. Sanja Radojević Škodrić, director of the Republic Health Insurance Fund (RFZO). She reminded that investments in healthcare in Serbia are greater than ever before and that investments are being made in all segments: in infrastructure, in the construction and reconstruction of clinical centers and hospitals, health centers, and that there are also plans to build rural clinics. She also pointed out that Serbia is the country with the most rights to in vitro fertilization.
– A special aspect is in maternity hospitals, and investments are also made in innovative drugs and drugs for rare diseases. In our health system, the personnel, our health workers, are also of inestimable importance. It is invested in their employment, in increasing their wages and improving their working conditions. We put the emphasis on young people, intensively assign specializations – said prof. Dr. Sanja Radojević Škodrić and stressed that the goal of our country is that there is no innovative drug that we do not have, as well as that every municipality has magnetic resonance imaging.
The conference, which brought together doctors, researchers, scientists, and institutions, aimed to ensure quality discussion and debate on the education of health workers, improvement of procedures, innovative medicines and health capacities.
