BELGRADE – Srđan Barac from the Center for Social Stability assessed that the news published by the media that the session of the UN General Assembly scheduled for May 2nd, at which the proposed resolution on Srebrenica should be voted on, shows that Serbia’s diplomatic struggle is bore fruit, that the voice of small states was heard and that in international relations Serbia succeeded in motivating other states to stand up, raise their voice and fight for truth and justice.

He told Tanjug that he believes that Serbia’s diplomatic offensive in terms of presenting the facts has borne fruit and has shown how important it is that voting in the UN does not take place according to dictates, but in accordance with the countries’ own decisions, with truth and justice.

Barac says that the postponement of the vote showed that those who led an intensive campaign for the adoption of this resolution in the previous days needed more time to see how many votes of support they would have.
