Barcelona football coach Xavi Hernandez will remain in that position despite announcing in January that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Xavi announced on Wednesday that after negotiations with the first man of Barcelona, Joan Laporte, he decided not to change the midfield, but in the meantime he had contacts from other clubs.
As the Dutch “Telegraph” reports, Ajax and Xavi held a meeting where the famous Spanish midfielder told them that his idea was to take a year off before agreeing to work with a new team. Then Xavi decided to stay in Barcelona.
Ajax were shocked by that decision because they concluded that Xavi’s intentions were really focused on a break and leaving the Nou Camp.
