“Renovation is not a ghost”

Shows of this type have existed all over the world for a long time, and as Anja, the author of the show, pointed out, she has always loved watching them, and she wished that they would have their own someday.

– In a conversation with my wife and co-workers, we commented that people very often have the wrong idea of what a renovation actually looks like. Either they think it’s something easy that ends in two months, or they run away from it, thinking it’s the worst fate. And from the desire to demystify that, the idea of the show was born, said Anja.

“We will show viewers every step”

“Creating with Anja”

Considering that people enter the renovation process with very little information, and for many, arranging a home seems very complicated, Anja and her team wanted to make the entire process easier for viewers.

– The idea is to show viewers every step in one complete adaptation through 12 episodes. Although the works are adapted to the days of filming, everything is really realistic, and everything happens exactly as it happens in real situations. We want this show to be relaxed, entertaining, but also educational, and that the viewers after it really enter the process of tidying up their space with more knowledge when the time comes.

“After finishing my sports career, I turned to a new job”

– First of all, it is important to note that I am not an architect, although I often get compliments that people think I am. For me, it is a great compliment because it means that they recognize my knowledge and have confidence in me. Like every former athlete, after my career I was looking for myself, what I was going to do. Given that my husband graduated from the faculty of interior and furniture design, we turned the company in that direction, and from then on, things unfolded spontaneously.

“Creating with Anja”

We chose the products that we will offer to the market according to a certain feeling and according to the shortcomings that we saw, and first I got to know the details about the products, and later how they fit with the other elements of the interior. For example, in order to install a hidden door, you need to know how to install an aluminum frame, how it is attached to a brick or plasterboard wall, how it is then painted, and how ceramics, parquet floors, wallpaper, everything fits into the whole story. is connected. And simply in order to know how to present my product to clients, I had to learn everything else.

And in that process, I fell in love with creation, because it’s an incredible feeling when you enter between the bare walls, and follow the transformation of that space into a beautiful interior. For me, that moment when you see the final result and the client’s satisfaction, and you know where it all started, is an incredible feeling of satisfaction and pride. And that’s what I love most about this job.

“The difficulty of the project depends on the precision”

“Creating with Anja”

Through her previous work, Anja has encountered both more difficult and easier projects, and as she pointed out, the difficulty usually depends on the precision of the project.

– The more precise the project, the less possibility of misunderstandings and possible errors and problems, and these lead to extension of deadlines and to nervousness both among clients and contractors. Those situations are the most stressful, but with a little patience, everything can be overcome, and the most important thing is that the client is satisfied in the end.

“People are increasingly hiring a professional for home improvement”

Anja does not hide her happiness due to the fact that people today more often hire a professional to help them renovate their home.

“Creating with Anja”

– Clients recognize the value they receive when a professional arranges their space. This primarily refers to the renovation of old buildings, where the complete arrangement of rooms is often changed, in order to obtain a more functional space. I like to say that anyone with a sense of beauty can decorate an interior, match colors and materials, but the functional solution of rooms, the creation of a whole that meets all the needs of the user, should be done by someone who is trained for it.

Creating an interior should be a beautiful process

“Creating with Anja”

Through her many years of experience, Anja realized that people perceive renovation as a specter. As he says, the process is stressful, not simple, but preparation has a lot to do with it.

– The better you prepare, the less problems you will have. Creating an interior should be a beautiful process, you should enjoy it, but it won’t happen by itself, you have to prepare everything as well as possible. And we’ll do our best to show you how.

“It’s not hard to be the only woman in the team”

“Creating with Anja”

Anja works in the men’s team. Although it is not usual for a woman to be the head of the team, Anja is doing great, and as she says, it is all thanks to her wonderful colleagues.

– It is not difficult for me to work in a men’s team, first of all, because I work with great guys. Most of my knowledge of construction comes from great craftsmen who selflessly shared their expertise with me. My experience is that if you are an expert in what you do, and if you treat everyone with respect, it doesn’t matter whether you are male or female. On the contrary, they protect me more and help me to walk around the construction site in high heels, which often happens when I rush straight from a meeting to solve a problem, concluded Anja.
