Namely, the singer got the impression that it was a “racist city left behind in time”. In an interview with “Metro”, a free London newspaper, she said that the streets of Belgrade are “full of ugly fat people”, but that the visitors to her concert were wonderful.
When asked if she was ever recognized on the street in an unusual place, the famous singer replied that she had such an experience in Belgrade.
“Last year I had a concert in Serbia. I didn’t even know where it was, but people recognized me on the street. The concert was great, but the city we were in was not so good. It was racist and backward in time. The streets are were full of fat ugly people, but the people who came to the concert were wonderful,” said Macy Gray.
All in all, inappropriate and untrue, especially since we are often rated as one of the most beautiful nations – which is really not far from the truth.
