The most significant changes in this regulation refer to the change in the composition and way of working of the committee for awarding incentives, by prescribing that this body be appointed individually for each submitted application and that it consists of five members. According to the new regulation, the composition of the commission will in the future depend on the economic activity and the area in which the business entity will invest, that is, in which the project will be implemented.
– In addition, the amounts of incentives for investments in material assets have been doubled from the previous maximum of 15 percent to a maximum of 30 percent, due to the importance of this type of investor for technological development, development of education and improvement of the competitiveness of the economy – announced the Government of Srpska.
The Government of Republika Srpska today, among other things, adopted the information on the realization of projects from the debt clearing funds.
The information presents the effects of the realization of projects from the funds of the clearing debt so far. These are the funds that derive from the Agreement on the Regulation of the Obligations of the Former USSR and the SFRY. In the distribution of these funds, the Republika Srpska received 60.02 million KM.
So far, 108 projects have been approved, which are implemented with the funds of the clearing debt.
Funds are directed to local communities throughout the Republika Srpska, improving capacities and infrastructure in the areas of transport, economy, agriculture, education, health, communal issues, and sports and culture.
– At today’s session, a proposal for a decision on criteria for evaluating the degree of development of local self-government units in the Republic of Srpska was also adopted. This decision establishes the criteria and method for evaluating the level of development of local self-government units, on the basis of which the Government of the Republic of Srpska determines the level of development of local self-government units for the following year by September 30 of the current year, in accordance with the Law on Local Self-Government – the statement added.
As pointed out by the Government, the Ministry of Administration and Local Self-Government, when proposing the criteria, was guided by the experience gained in previous years, during the application of the valid criteria determined by the Decision on Criteria for Assessing the Level of Development of Local Self-Government Units.
At today’s session, the Government adopted the Information on the amended document for discussion for the sixth meeting of the Stabilization and Association Committee between the EU and BiḪ.
The meeting was announced for June 16, 2023, and the reporting period on the fulfillment of obligations from the SAA related to this Committee covers the period from the previous meeting on November 26, 2020 until the reporting date.
– The Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation, in its capacity as the republican coordinator of the process of European integration, coordinated the preparation and harmonization of the discussion document for this meeting. Also, information was obtained about the representatives of the competent ḫ republican ḫ administrative bodies who will report to the European Commission at this meeting – they conclude from the Government of Srpska.
