Vladimir Tomčić, the director of “Filmskih Novosti” in the morning program of Kurir television, compared the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, which will be held today in London, with the funeral of the President of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito.
He stated that these are the two biggest funerals of some statesmen and that huge security measures are expected.
– Queen Elizabeth II influenced the history of the planet in informal circles. It is a circle of seven or eight people whose word is listened to at every opportunity. It also happened that Josip Broz Tito met with her privately, which was a private meeting that lasted an hour. After him, the Queen presented Tito with a Rolls Royce Phantom and two of her corgi dogs. Rolls Royce Phantom is a sign of great respect – says Vladimir Tomčić.
Only the chosen ones were invited to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth, says Tomćić.
– The Queen has the indisputable status of being completely protected from the outside world. It is a great truth that she transformed the image of the royal family, although many of its members do not behave adequately, which gives the media a wind to not write well about them – Tomčić pointed out and emphasized that Queen Elizabeth has been building her image for years.
King Charles III is very close to the Orthodox world, since his father, Prince Philip, was Greek, so we can expect the king to visit Serbia and Orthodox countries again.
