– Three seasons of the series “Europe from Above” are behind us. During those three cycles, we only had the opportunity to “brush” this region. That’s why we were extremely glad when we found out that we were returning to the Balkans. This is an area extremely rich in different influences that intertwine through architecture, culture, customs, history, and we don’t even need to talk about natural beauty. Serbia has long been a desired destination for us. That’s why we were delighted to raise the drones and capture the best that your country has to offer. And there is a lot of it – says Mark Bridge, producer of the series “Europe from Above”, under whose command a large international team worked on the episodes of the new season of this show last year. The Serbian episode “on the ground” was supervised by Ivan Lazić, who is in charge of the beautiful shots that will travel the world.

– The Subotica synagogue left the strongest impression on me. When we started preparing the list of locations that will be featured in the series, I knew that Subotica, because of its beauty, but also the characteristic mixture of cultures, the people who live there and the beautiful architecture, would definitely be in the show. However, even for me, who am quite familiar with the beauties of Serbia, Subotica gave birth to a pearl that I did not know about. It is about a synagogue that was recently restored and which, to my particular delight, shined in its full glory in our episode, bringing with it a story about the very essence of Subotica, but also of Serbia and this entire region. And that is one wealth of diversity – says one of the producers of the episode about Serbia, which will hit our small screens on September 18.

– For you, picking peppers in the south of Serbia is something ordinary and everyday. And for foreigners who will watch this episode, it is something miraculous, something they have never experienced, and which will be one of the reasons for them to say to themselves – I want to come to Serbia – concludes Mark Bridge.
